Downtime for Drew

Drew had his knee surgery on Tuesday and it all went good. He'll be off his bike for the next 6 weeks. He plans to keep busy with the following,
1. Get a job- I got laid off 2 weeks ago when the company I worked for went out of business. Damn economy.
2. Find spots- there is nothing that gets me stoked to ride more than new spots.
3. Drink- not the best thing, but I turn 21 next week so i might as well get all the boozing out of my system now
4. Exercise- keep my muscles on their toes while they aren't getting put to use on the bike.
5. Work on the van- it already has a dance floor and a couch in back but I still have big plans for it

Back to BMX

Man, I love all the funny comments that my last post got over on thecomeupbmx.net. Anyways, back to BMX. Above is a shot of none other than Tate Roskelley shot by Jeff Z that was in the new RIDE. Now go ride a unicycle but don't do tricks on it!

Tricks on a fixed?

The big topic in BMX is whether or not to endorse doing tricks on a fixed gear bike. To us it's just another bike and to each his own. Who are we to say that we are against something even if we don't necessarily do it ourselves. I personally love to haul ass on mine and fly off curb cuts. Above is a picture of Tom Mosher at Hubba on his Cutter.

Another Day In L.A.

Ed Subias was headed out to shoot with Lil D, so Biz and i decided to tag on along for the day.

We met up with D and his crew at Montebello skate park. Perfect Feb day, you could tell by all the people sleeping in the grass a few feet away from the park.

D, step up smith. Just watch out for the hand balls.

Tight fit, the entrance and exit from the park

After the park, D took us to some of his local street spots. Me playin it safe on the cheese grater hip

I went to sit on this bin and it collasped. I literally needed help to get out of this postion. Getting old

Shootin the B's

Hip Whip

D got a few clips here before a good samaritan decided it was his duty to kick us out of the parking lot to an empty building

Hop over smith

Tate Roskelley updates

Above advert is from our local park (Brookhurst). This volcano has never been ridden by a biker (none that I know of) until now. It's definitely nuts and yes he pulled out perfectly. Footage coming soon.
We also finally put up Tate's interview and some pics up on his team page. Most of the pics are from Tate's last stay in Cali with Enns. We'll get some more up soon.
